Breast Section Head, Jennifer A. Harvey

      

Jennifer Harvey is a Professor of Radiology at the University of Virginia Health System, where she serves as Head of the Division of Breast Imaging, Co-Director of the UVa Breast Care Program, and Vice-Chair of Education and Faculty Development. She attended medical school and did her diagnostic radiology residency at the University of Arizona, where she served as Chief Resident and received the ARRS Presidents Award for Resident Research.

Her research interest is the association of mammographic density and breast cancer risk as well as predication of breast cancer risk through modeling. She is the recipient of the Dean’s Award for Clinical Excellence from the University of Virginia, the Sharon H. Kohlenberg Healthcare Service Award from the Virginia Breast Cancer Foundation, the Distinguished Service Award from the ABR, and is a Fellow of the Society of Breast Imaging (SBI) and the American College of Radiology.

She has served on many committees for the RSNA, American Board of Radiology and the American College of Radiology. She has served on the Editorial Boards of Radiology, RadioGraphics,and Journal of the American College of Radiology. On a personal note, she is the mother of four sons, three of which are Eagle Scouts.
