Cardiovascular Associate Section Head, John P. Lichtenberger III


John P. Lichtenberger III, M.D., Maj, USAF, MC is an Assistant Professor of Radiology at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS) and Section Chief of Cardiac Imaging at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.


Dr. Lichtenberger received his artium baccalaureus from Princeton University before entering a fellowship in public interest and non-profit work. After receiving his medical degree at the USUHS and residency training at David Grant Medical Center at Travis Air Force Base, he went on to complete a fellowship in Thoracic and Cardiac Imaging at Massachusetts General Hospital.


Dr. Lichtenberger has written numerous peer-reviewed publications and has contributed as an author of several books, most notably “Diagnostic Imaging: Chest 2nd ed.” and “Diagnostic Imaging: Cardiovascular 2nd ed.”
